Using the site

Read it, cook from it, copy a shopping list into your notes, print a recipe and get grease on it. None of that needs permission and none of it is what this page is about.

The words and photographs here are mine. Quoting a bit and linking back is welcome. Republishing a whole recipe or trip write-up somewhere else, or feeding the site to something that reassembles it as its own content, is not.

Nothing here is advice

This is a record of what one person did, not instruction on what you should do. That matters more here than on most sites, because of what it is about.

• Cooking. Recipes involve fire, hot metal, propane and raw meat, usually a long way from a kitchen and sometimes a long way from a hospital. Cooking times are what worked for me at my altitude on my burner. Check your own food is cooked through.
• Driving and camping. A route that was fine in June may be impassable in October, and a track that existed last year may be closed, washed out or on private land now. Conditions, access and the law all change. Check before you go.
• The truck. The build notes say what I fitted and what I paid. They are not fitting instructions, they are not a safety endorsement, and a part that suits my truck and my loading may be wrong for yours. Anything affecting suspension, recovery points, gas or wiring is worth a professional.

Decisions you make out there are yours. I cannot be liable for what happens on a trip, at a campsite or over a burner, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Leaving a review

By submitting one you are saying, in effect:

• The words and the photograph are yours to give.
• You are happy for them to appear on this site, with the name you typed, indefinitely.
• You keep ownership of them. I am not selling them or licensing them on.
• There is nobody else's photograph in it, and nobody identifiable who would object.

I read everything before it goes up and I do not have to publish anything. Things that will not make it: advertising, abuse, anything aimed at a person rather than a recipe, and anything that looks manufactured. Ask and I will take yours down - see the privacy page for how.

Links out

There are links to shops, brands and other people's sites. I do not control any of them and cannot vouch for what they do once you are there. Some of them pay me, which has its own page.

Prices and availability

Prices on the rig page are what I paid at the time, not what anything costs now. Parts get discontinued, revised and repriced. Treat them as history rather than a quote.

Changes

These terms can change; the date at the top says when they last did. There is no version of this where a change applies to something you did before it.
